Over the years we’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most innovative names in software. Without them, Momentum wouldn’t be here and we’re truly fortunate to have worked with great people at each of these companies. Both M&A and VC Funding have been extremely hot over the past year. After reflecting on Scality’s $45M D Round this week, we dug deep to see what other customer success stories have evolved over the past year or so. It turns that our current and alumni customers have been very active on the transaction front since June of 2014. In total there has been a total of $487.7M in new funding and 12 acquisitions estimated to be well into the double three comma range.

We hope to see more additions to this as the year progresses. Congrats to all of the intra and entrepreneurs we’ve had the opportunity to work with. Also, a special shout out to Brad Damphouse and Andy Ballester of GoFundMe. Brad and Andy bootstrapped GoFundMe through providing ux design and development services to us back in 2009/10. These guys never raised a penny of outside funding and recently sold a majority share of their company to an Accel and TCV led group at a value of $600-650M!
